Bell Rock Light: A special brew has been created (at the request of Wetherspoons) as part of the 200-year celebrations of the building of the Bell Rock Lighthouse off Arbroath. This is a pale brown beer at 3.9% abv. |

Warm-room: The brewery 'chill-room' is being gently heated to keep the filled casks at a steady temperature of 8C before going out into the trade; this should prevent any chill-haze during the baltic weather. |
[Dec 2010]
Freeze-up: The brewery's water supply was frozen for a week, causing some disruption to production, but the thaw came in time to prevent any serious stock problems. |
[July 2010]
Chill-room: The brewery now possesses a chill-room, whereby the filled casks are kept at a steady temperature of 13C before going out into the trade; this should ensure that the beers are in top condition when they arrive at their destination. |
[May 2010]
Beer Festivals: Our beers have already appeared at a number of beer festivals in 2010, including Dundee Round Table, Bradford, Paisley, Fife CAMRA (Glenrothes), Macbethfest (Aboyne), Grampian CAMRA (Aberdeen), Fisherman's Tavern (Broughty Ferry) and Meikleour Hotel. |
[April 2010]
New Real Ale outlets: Angus Ales has been particularly pleased to introduce real ale to outlets which are new to the good stuff — The Haven (Cellardyke), The Smugglers Arms (Anstruther), and Coyle's (Dundee) being three such places. |
[March 2010]
Driver Dark: A new beer — a dark full-flavoured stout at 4.4% abv — becomes available in cask and in bottles. |
[January 2010]
Angus Ales : 10% January discount.
Due to the tough times facing publicans (customers with less money following the festive season, plus the VAT rise, plus the onset of the next Ice Age) we are offering a 10% discount on our normal prices during the month of January. |
[December 2009]
Angus Ales started delivery to trade customers in mid November 2009, and has now supplied around 20 outlets.
Firkins and Pins of Mashie Niblick and Gowfers' Gold are being offered. |
